Keeping a journal somehow makes us want to live a life worth writing about. I pride myself on striving to live each day to its fullest, sucking the marrow from every moment. I believe we are human beings, not human doings, so I am not defined by a job, title or project. My word of the year for 2011 was "JOY," and I tried to seek joy in every day and every adventure that crossed my path. I had a pretty amazing year, so this year my word is "HERE," after all, all we really have is NOW.

Happy Easter!
I just wanted to wish the "web world" a blessed Easter. My little angels were adorable this morning in their Easter finery at church. I am on my baby pc, so none of my pix are here, but I will get around to uploading some pictures later on.
I have had so much fun since I retired! I have been reading a lot lately in my spare time (rather than getting on my pc) and just finished re-reading one of my favorite books: The Year of Pleasures by Elizabeth Berg. If you have never read Elizabeth, I strongly recommend you do. She is a beautiful writer.
Just before this I read The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson. (I am going to read the entire trilogy, but am sharing books with my girlfriends and am waiting on #2 now.) It was very good and intriguing and I plan to watch the foreign film (using my Netflix Instant Movie Magic!)
This coming week should be fun....Tuesday is our Neighborhood Ladies monthly lunch date and we hope to sit outside at the Corner Bakery in Highland Village and pretend we are actually somewhere exotic as we solve the problems of Bartonville, TX. I get to have my grandchildren on Saturday for a sleep over and then Sunday is our annual "Purple Sisters" Mother's Day Tea! Lots to look forward to! Hope your week is wonderful, too!
